Project Manager Job Description
Summary
Work safely and encourage others to do the same by creating a safe work environment. Create value through developing, implementing and following best management practices during the installation of large commercial landscape and irrigation projects. Manage projects and company resources on a full-time basis. Develop relationships with staff, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc. Build trust through interactions with internal and external customers. Duties include all aspects of project and personnel management. Be a good steward.
Project a professional image in all interactions.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Complete billable work safely, on time and within budget.
2. Act as the main point of contact on assigned landscape and irrigation projects. Interact with all levels of personnel.
3. Coordinate site activities with landscape construction managers.
4. Manage project from an administrative level including labor hours budgets, materials costs, and project completion.
5. Manage and track changes to scope. Estimate project costs, including overall project bid.
6. Coordinate and schedule material deliveries and subcontractor activities.
7. Drive production schedules. Meet deadlines.
8. Create and revise systems by analyzing business and construction practices. Work with management to implement changes.
9. Other duties as assigned or as needed to support staff and keep business / projects running smoothly.

3. Daily and weekly reporting as required by management.
4. Assist with: Landscape and irrigation take-offs, estimating, purchasing, project administration & business development.

7. Promote excellence in all areas of the business.
Skills / Qualifications
1. Intermediate organization, reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
2. Intermediate computer skills. Previous experience with construction related software is a plus.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly EXCEL). Duties require professional written and verbal communication skills.
4. Knowledge of landscape and irrigation terminology, production means and methods.
5. Current drivers license. CDL & previous experience towing trailers and hauling equipment and materials is preferred.
6. Ability to get along with others, manage and motivate others, resolve conflict.
7. Previous experience in a similar role in the industry installing large commercial landscape and irrigation systems is required.

Working conditions will vary from those found in a typical office environment to extreme conditions encountered outdoors.
